Do I need to forward ports?
The current Bridge Agent uses an outbound secure connection to Eddy. The normal Bridge Agent setup does not require an inbound port-forwarding rule.
Does Eddy only run on Raspberry Pi?
No. Bridge Agent installers are available for Windows, Mac and supported Raspberry Pi systems. Device and adapter support can vary by platform.
Installation guideWhy does a device have no power button?
Eddy can only map commands the controller provides. Some media players offer playback or volume controls without a reliable on/off command. IR devices need an available, mapped IR command.
How do rooms work?
Rooms organize controllers, Virtual Devices and Activities in Eddy. Apple Smart Home collects eligible devices across rooms; their placement in Apple Home is managed separately.
Is Homebridge required for Apple Home?
Eddy’s built-in HomeKit service runs in Bridge Agent. Enable it in local Eddy Setup, choose your devices on Apple Smart Home, then use the pairing code in Apple Home.
Apple Home guideWhat does Sync with Apple Home do?
It applies your selected Eddy controls to the built-in HomeKit service. It does not copy Eddy’s room assignments into Apple Home or enable unsupported device features.
Why is my device unavailable?
Check the bridge is running and connected, that both devices can reach each other on your local network, and that any device approval or pairing is still valid.
